Fogg & Powers' paralegals provide critical support in helping clients to protect their innovations, and they give clients another valuable resource within the firm.


Lisa Gentry
is the firm’s supervising paralegal who for the last 18 years has specialized in intellectual property

Prior to joining Fogg & Powers, Lisa practiced at the Minneapolis-based intellectual property firms Fogg Slifer Polglaze Leffert & Jay; Mueting Rasch Gebhardt; and Schwegman, Lundberg, Woessner and Kluth. She has also worked at numerous other intellectual property firms in the Minneapolis area.

Lisa earned a Certificate in the Legal Secretarial Program from the Minnesota School of Business. Lisa is a member of the Minnesota Paralegal Association.


Julia Sisterman provides additional experience to the paralegal team.

Julia worked for a worldwide developer and manufacturer of medical devices as a support technician before coming to Fogg & Powers as a paralegal. She also worked in the banking industry in operations and customer relations.

Graduating from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Julia was a member of the Pre-Law Society.


Jennie Swanson is a docketing paralegal with the firm.

Before coming to Fogg & Powers, Jennie worked as a membership specialist at a large medical insurance company. She also worked for a number of years in the accounting department of a large grocery retailer.

Jennie graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Global Studies. She earned a Paralegal Certificate from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute. Jennie is a member of the Minnesota Paralegal Association and the National Federation of Paralegal Associations.


Danielle Suess is the newest member of the Fogg & Powers paralegal team.

Danielle is a former social studies teacher. She completed a judicial internship with the Hennepin County Government Center and has held a number of office and supervisory positions.

Danielle graduated from the University of Minnesota – Morris with a bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, Social Science and Secondary Education. She also has a Paralegal Certification from the Minnesota Paralegal Institute.
