About Herman

Herman is a patent paralegal for Fogg & Powers. Since joining the firm in 2016, Herman has handled a variety of tasks as he has grown in the firm. Herman currently handles the docketing for foreign patent prosecution. Additionally, Herman has taken on various special projects from to-to-time. For example, Herman worked closely with attorneys in the firm on a team that developed our processes for handling Information Disclosure Statements. 

Prior to a career in intellectual property, Herman served in the Armed Forces and was deployed overseas. He also worked in the Security and Surveillance industry. Herman takes pride in his work and finds it rewarding to support the innovation of technology.

Herman is also co-chair of the Fogg & Powers Diversity and Inclusion Committee. He enjoys the challenges that the growing and changing world brings and wants the firm to be at the forefront of making all feel welcome. 

When he is not working, Herman enjoys spending time with his family, working on wood projects, listening to music, and enjoying the outdoors through camping, fishing, and hunting. His favorite Star Trek Captain is Jean-Luc Picard, and his favorite author is Mark Twain.
