About Eric
Eric is a registered patent attorney practicing in the areas of telecommunications, computer hardware and software, and blockchain technologies. Eric’s practice focuses on patent preparation and prosecution.
Eric began his career in 2008 at a small intellectual property firm in Salt Lake City, Utah. There, Eric was mentored by experienced attorneys and developed a solid foundation that serves him well. During this time, Eric prepared and prosecuted patent applications for large telecommunications companies with an emphasis on wireless communication.
In January 2018, Eric came to Fogg & Powers LLC where he works with large and small companies. He enjoys demystifying the patent process for engineers and counsel new to the patenting process. Eric also enjoys extracting potentially patentable ideas from client disclosures and working with them to protect that subject matter, both domestically and internationally.
Outside of work, Eric enjoys spending time with friends and family, cooking, and hiking near his home in Salt Lake City.
