About Greg
Greg is a registered patent attorney with over thirty years of experience in patent application preparation, U.S. and foreign patent prosecution, client counseling, and opinions related to patentability, infringement, and validity. Over the years, he has practiced in a variety of technology areas, while successfully obtaining issuance of hundreds of U.S. and foreign patents for clients ranging from large international corporations to small businesses.
Exemplary technology areas in which Greg has worked include: aerospace communication and control systems;autonomous vehicle and collaborative navigation systems; inertial and atomic sensors; MEMS devices; semiconductor devices and fabrication techniques; optical thin films and deposition processes; and optical components for photonics applications.
Prior to joining Fogg & Powers, Greg practiced with a Salt Lake City intellectual property law firm, Workman Nydegger, where he was a shareholder. Prior to that, he practiced with Merchant & Gould, a Minneapolis-based intellectual property law firm.
Outside of work, Greg enjoys playing the trumpet with a local community band, which performs free concerts throughout the year for area residents. He is also an enthusiastic swimmer and cyclist, and has participated in various triathlon events.
